“Holographic Repatterning: The Healing Work of Alicia Sinicrope” by Michelle Wilde

Alicia Sinicrope is a vibrant, emotionally expressive person, and a practitioner of Holographic Repatterning (HR). Alicia is twenty-five years old, yet seems ageless and sometimes ancient when she works.  She is confident in the power of her work, articulate about it, and retains a fresh sense of wonder for the profundity of the possibilities of transformation.  HR is a”an extraordinary process for creating positive change. The HR process enables you to identify and transform unconscious life-depleting responses that underlie pain, sickness, unworkable relationships or any other limitations you might be experiencing.  HR sessions facilitate a shift in your frequency patterns so you resonate with your positive goals and intentions and actively move towards the attainment of your potential as a human being.  HR is a healing process that uses kinesiology and the interconnection of the universe to identify what healing wants to emerge and how. This process then uses carious modalities and positive actions to create an immediate and upward spiraling (positive shift) in your reality.”

Many clients describe a session as similar to being with a psychic-“it hits thing right where it needs to be.” Alicia elaborates on being with clients in the sessions, “I go into a space where it’s like I’m not even there anymore.  We’re sharing a system-it’s like we’re together, because they are in a fragile state and need healing.” Alicia identifies, intuitively, when a trauma occurred in your past.  She explains that she learned so much from earlier times of doing childcare. “A lot of our reactions are from a younger state-even a newborn.” During part of her training, she was shown a video that showed a fetus contracting inside the mother’s belly when there was shouting going on closeby.  This emphasized human sensitivity and susceptibility, informing her work, “It’s all about getting more love.  I just have to be a vessel for that, so they can get that.”

Mucsle testing is part of the diagnosis, and treatment includes the application of a series of modalities, though sometimes only one modality is called for.  A modality can be “anything which brings frequencies to a higher vibration.” For example, modalities may include imagining a color, sounding a chakra tone, herbs, energetic contact, massage, oils, fragrance, or yoga.  A positive action is then suggested.  This might include being with your mom, breathwork, taking a walk in the woods, moving away from power lines, chiropractic work, dental work or a number of other things.  “The more you know about other practices the more your own is strengthened, and you can answer questions,” says Alicia.

“Orientation” is what a lot of the sessions are about-“orienting yourself to the moment, to yourself, to place, to other people, to your purpose in life. It is like taking a pause, or you might be disoriented your whole life.”  Disorientation can be caused by something as simple as too much sugar.  Alicia further describes disorientation. “If a fetus is taking in drugs, caffeine, etc, it can be very disorienting and it is teaching, preparing the fetus to get used to being in a disoriented state for life outside of the womb. Prenatal time is crucial to your development and how you will orient yourself in your life.” In the HR seminars the teachers encourage practitioners to be in touch with the pre and peri natal experiences, to learn more about the impact of the birth process and the early years.”

For Alicia, working with the clients is amazing.  People manifest many forms of releasing trauma: convulsions, crying, sighing, shaking, gagging, sudden need to use the bathroom. Some people become embarrassed.  Alicia tells them just to let it happen, and she says then both she and the client may get a little giggle out of the situation.  It is hard work too.  You do have to protect and take care of yourself too.”

Influenced by shamanism, Alicia visited Mexico for the first time last winter where she sought out many “curenderas” traditional spirit healers.  “It felt so right in Mexico-the was healed there was how I handled situations already myself- being so grounded, and staying there, staying there right there with me.”

Alicia recognized her Mexican heritage in the work that these women (and men) do, and which her grandmother also taught her about.  The Mexican healers offer “limpias” which are cleansing and purification ceremonies.  The curenderas rub herbs and whole eggs over people’s energy fields in order to “cleanse” them of problems, negativity, and illness  Alicia laughs, “there should be curenderas on every street!”  Her reference is to the fact that this occupation is very much alice as part of the wisdom of more traditional societies, and that we can gain by learning from that wisdom in the U.S.  The trip to Mexico “has totally changed my work,” says Alicia.  “That trip has opened so many channels- I see the work they do has opened so many channels and that the work they do is a modality.  It is like having having an HR session.  They do prayers that invoke and bring in the spirit…HR is technical but you can’t not be yourself in it-  Once practitioner will use more homeopathy if that’s their background, one will have more experience working with abusive males, for example.  But no matter what, the work is powerful just of it’s own accord.”

“Before I do a session, sometimes before the client even arrives, I always say a prayer for the greatest healing, and all the angels and guides (the clients mine, and any helpfuls) and anyone else to be present and bring the greatest positive change possible.  I give thanks, and clear the space, either with smudging (clearing an area of negativity, with smoke by burning plant leaves or resins) often copal, incense used by Mayans, or another method of clearing the space, with sound tones, crystals,…etcetera.  And I ask and say a blessing.  Each practitioner is unique in their setting the space for sessions. And of course, sometimes it varies depending on the client too.”

Alicia knew she was going to be a healer, though at first she thought that her field would be psychotherapy/psychiatry, one of her two majors as an undergraduate at UMass/Amherst.  She realized early on that she did always agree with the prescription of drugs as a “fix it” or even a supplement in therapy, and Alicia also didn’t agree with straight counseling either.  She felt there had to be a way that could be more effective.  The HR process allows her to use “all of the faculties- to strengthen myself by using the modalities combined with conscious awareness of the issues that come up.  One of Alicia’s current interests is in furthering the intuitional aspect of her work.  Although, it should be made clear, that the HR process, is lead by muscle checking, not intuition.  Intuition can and is muscle checked however in the sessions.

She explains more about HR.  “It raises the frequency of the whole universe.  When you do your work that’s best, and you end up helping everyone, especially the people around you.  (She smiles).  You don’t need to stay or be defeated in a downward spiral- you can can take the opportunity of the issues or chaotic moments or situations and spiral it up..”

One of the strengths of Alicia’s practice is her understanding that it is the client’s system which is facilitating its own healing.  “The more they learn that it’s their system empowering and running the session, it strengthens them more and more in their healing.”

Alicia’s present vision is to communicate this work to as many people as possible.  She is currently in Mexico again, relearning HR in Spanish.  “So many who need it here (in the US) don’t speak English.”  Upon her return to the States, she has the opportunity to work in programs in the Bronx, as well as to continue her practice, which takes her to New York, Boston, Northampton.  “I just want to help people to heal themselves, and take better care of themselves, and to feel more love and to just keep learning.”

I couldn’t find a job for over 6 months and I was stressing to take care of my 3 kids on my own and would take anything if I was offered it. Within two weeks of the Repatterning session with Alicia, I was offered 3 separate jobs, and I had to make a choice. I know that these opportunities happened because of the session.” Ida, Nurse Practitioner, Holyoke, MA
